Read the leaderboard before you chase a rank

Checked

The leaderboard answers a different question than the squad screens do: not how good your cards are, but how far they have carried you. Read the right column before you decide what to chase.

Your rank is on your profile, before you open the board

The board is not in the bottom navigation bar, which carries SQUAD, CARDS, TRAINING, PLAY, MARKET, TOURNAMENTS and SHOP. It sits one level in: open your PROFILE panel and look at the top right, beside the player search field, where a gold button reads LEADERBOARDS.

That panel already tells you where you stand. In a recording uploaded on 3 November 2026 the badge over the avatar read #218 WORLD, with UNCLEPINK FC, LEGEND LEAGUE and 8,785 FANS on the club card, and W 613, D 334, L 247 above MATCHES 1,194, GOALS 1,831, POWER 103 and PLAYERS 24.

So the practical order is: read #N WORLD on your profile, then open the board to see what the rows above you are made of.

Two boards, six sub-tabs

LEADERBOARDS opens on COACHES, and a second tab switches to PLAYERS. Each of the two carries three sub-tabs along its top edge, and the top right corner prints UPDATED JUST NOW in small grey text.

BoardSub-tabsWhat the row is
COACHESFANS, WINSA manager: avatar, display name, handle, then FANS or WINS, PER MATCH and MATCHES
PLAYERSGOALS, ASSISTS, CLEAN SHEETSA card: its art with rarity and rating, then the board's total, PER MATCH and MATCHES

A PLAYERS row swaps the avatar for the card itself, so an ICON 99 and a RARE 80 sit in the same list and can be compared on the numbers beside them rather than on the corner badge.

The three columns, and the one you should read first

Every row prints the same three boxes: the board's own total, PER MATCH, and MATCHES. Only the first box changes name between boards: it reads FANS on the coach board, GOALS or CLEAN SHEETS on the player boards.

Here are the rows we read on 3 November 2026, with the date attached because every one of these numbers moves:

Board and placeTotalMatchesPER MATCH
COACHES FANS #1 Book105,424 fans3,16633.3
COACHES FANS #2 Quann0708101,492 fans3,84426.4
COACHES FANS #3 Groot91,398 fans2,92331.3
COACHES FANS #4 Furansujin88,270 fans3,06428.8
COACHES FANS, own row #2188,785 fans1,1947.4

PER MATCH is the total divided by the match count, printed to one decimal on the COACHES board and two on the PLAYERS boards. All fifteen rows we read fit that division inside the printed rounding, so this is arithmetic on the panel rather than a rate the game measures separately.

Read it in this order. PER MATCH tells you how efficient a card or a manager is; the total tells you how long they have been at it. When those two disagree, the board is showing you the difference between a good card and an old account.

Your own row is pinned under the top five

On the COACHES board our frames show four ranked rows in gold, silver, bronze and dark grey, a gap, then your own row pinned at the bottom in a blue frame that prints your rank. In the recording that pinned row read #218 OppaAilong, 8,785 FANS, 7.4 PER MATCH, 1,194 MATCHES, and it matched the club card on the profile exactly.

The PLAYERS boards we read showed five ranked rows and no pinned row of our own. That is consistent with holding no card high enough to appear, but the panel does not print a reason, so treat it as an observation rather than a rule.

The gap between the pinned row and the top is the useful part: 33.3 fans per match for the leader against 7.4 for the player filming, on the same board and the same build. The board does not say how fans are earned, so treat the per-match figure as the score you are judged on rather than a lever you can pull directly. The leagues page covers the one fans-per-win figure we have measured.

The board ranks totals, so a 96 can sit below an 86

Two rows from the CLEAN SHEETS board make the rule visible.

PlaceCard as printedClean sheetsMatchesPer match
#3S. Ito, 86, GK, LEGENDARY1,3372,8260.47
#4U. Cano, 96, GK1,2572,2680.55

Same board, same position, ten rating points apart, and the lower-rated keeper is one place higher because it has eighty more clean sheets. The GOALS board repeats it the other way: #3 was N. Sasaki, a RARE 80, on 5,553 goals from 2,907 matches at 1.91 per match, and #4 was R. Perrin on 5,084 goals from 2,417 matches at 2.10. The 80 has the worse rate and the better place, because it played 490 more matches.

That is what these boards are for. They rank accumulation. If you want to know whether a card is good, read PER MATCH; if you want to know how high it could climb, read how many matches the cards above it needed to get there.

From a row to the card behind it

Tapping a PLAYERS row opens a PLAYER panel for that card: the card art with its rarity and rating, the OWNED BY handle of the manager who holds it, a POTENTIAL figure, and a CAREER block with MATCHES, CLEAN SHEETS or GOALS, SAVES, AVG RATING and MVP. Two buttons sit at the bottom, BACK and a gold MAKE OFFER.

The panel we opened was S. Ito: 86 OVR, GK, Japan, LEGENDARY, POTENTIAL 86, owned by Fairy_xXbebY, with MATCHES 2,826, CLEAN SHEETS 1,337, SAVES 7,187, AVG RATING 7.2 and MVP 377.

A COACHES row behaves differently. It opens that manager's profile: club, league, match record, fan count, their squad laid out in their formation, and MATCH HISTORY and FRIENDLY MATCH buttons. That is the route to a friendly, and it is why the board is worth opening even when the top spot is out of reach.

We never pressed MAKE OFFER. What an offer costs, whether the owner is notified and whether it can be refused are all outside what one recording shows, so treat the button as an entry point rather than a described flow. The market page covers the route where prices are printed instead.

Check the readings yourself

They are in a 1 minute 38 second recording uploaded on 3 November 2026. PROFILE opens at 0:14 with #218 WORLD and the LEADERBOARDS button; the COACHES FANS board is at 0:19; PLAYERS opens at 0:25 on the GOALS tab; CLEAN SHEETS sits on LOADING at 0:29 and fills at 0:31; and the S. Ito career panel with its MAKE OFFER button is at 0:37.

What we could not verify

Five things are open, and two of them change what a number on this page means.

  • Whether the boards refresh while you watch. The corner prints UPDATED JUST NOW, which is a label rather than a timestamp. We did not stay on one board long enough to see a row move.
  • The LOADING state. In our recording the CLEAN SHEETS tab sat on the word LOADING for the seconds we held it, then filled. If a tab looks empty, give it a moment before deciding the category has no entries.
  • What MAKE OFFER does. Never pressed, so the cost, the notification and the refusal case are all unread.
  • How GOALS is counted. We do not know whether every match type feeds the same counter, so a total is not a claim about how a card earned it.
  • Whether the WINS board lists the same managers as FANS. Every row on this page comes from the FANS, GOALS and CLEAN SHEETS boards; WINS and ASSISTS were not opened in the session we have.

One more caveat belongs beside the numbers rather than in a footnote: all of them come from one player's session on one build, uploaded on 3 November 2026. The board on your own screen is the authority, and the date on this page tells you how old our version is.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the leaderboard in Be a Soccer Manager?

Open your PROFILE panel. Its top-right corner carries a gold LEADERBOARDS button beside a player search field, and the badge over your avatar already prints your world rank. In a recording uploaded on 3 November 2026 the badge read #218 WORLD and the panel behind it showed W 613, D 334, L 247, POWER 103 and PLAYERS 24.

What does PER MATCH mean on the leaderboard?

It is the board's own total divided by the matches printed beside it, to one decimal on the COACHES board and two on the PLAYERS boards. All fifteen rows we read fit that division inside the printed rounding: 105,424 fans over 3,166 matches printed 33.3, and 1,543 clean sheets over 2,813 matches printed 0.55. It is arithmetic on the panel, not a separate rate the game measures.

How do I see my own rank?

Two places. Your PROFILE panel prints it as a #N WORLD badge above the avatar, and the COACHES board pins your own row at the bottom below the ranked rows, in a blue frame that prints your rank and your three columns. In the 3 November 2026 recording both read #218.

Why is a lower-rated card above a higher-rated one?

Because the boards rank totals, not ratings or rates. On the CLEAN SHEETS board an 86-rated keeper held #3 with 1,337 clean sheets over 2,826 matches while a 96-rated keeper held #4 with 1,257 over 2,268, even though the 96 had the better per-match figure. On the GOALS board a RARE 80 sat third on 5,553 goals because it had played 490 more matches than the 90-rated card below it.

Can I buy a player directly from the leaderboard?

There is a button for it. Tapping a PLAYERS row opens that card's panel with an OWNED BY handle and a gold MAKE OFFER control, and tapping a COACHES row opens that manager's profile with MATCH HISTORY and FRIENDLY MATCH. We never pressed MAKE OFFER, so what an offer costs and whether the owner is notified are not established here; the market page covers the route where prices are printed.
