Your first club in Be a Soccer Manager

Checked

Claim what you qualify for, then fill five slots and play one match before you spend a single coin. The first real decision is not “pack or market” — it is which position your squad cannot fill, because an empty slot is attacked for the whole match.

Claim what you qualify for

Two reward sources exist before you ever play.

The group reward panel, seen at the start of a recorded session, lists two conditions: join the group and like the game, and invite three friends. It pays $10,000 and a Club Pack. The panel shows both conditions together, so treat the invite as part of the offer; we have not confirmed that claiming works with only the first condition done.

The codes are separate. KICKOFF lists $10,000 and a Basic Pack and WELCOME lists $5,000 in the official Roblox description. ROLANDO appears on a third-party list. All three are entered in the Shop. Check the codes status page before you type them, since a code can stop working without notice.

If the claim button does nothing, check that you are in the group and that the like registered; the panel does not explain a failed claim.

Fill five slots, then check them by hand

Open SQUAD from the bottom bar. The recorded session described the opening matches as five-a-side, so you are filling five shirts, not eleven.

Tap AUTO FILL to let the game choose, then look at every slot yourself. AUTO FILL fills slots from what you own; it cannot invent a goalkeeper. If a slot stays empty, that is your first purchase target — not a pack.

The formation controls on the squad screen are labelled 4-1, 3-2, 2-3 and 1-4. We have not yet captured what each one puts on the pitch, so pick one and read the preview rather than assuming from the numbers; the formations page keeps what is confirmed and what is not.

Play one match and watch what your cards do

A live match with the scoreboard, the half and clock, possession bars and the LEAVE button

The captured match screen: scoreboard with both clubs, LIVE and the clock, possession percentages, the replay-skip arrow and LEAVE bottom right.

Matches play out live on your pitch. The scoreboard shows both clubs, the half and the clock (1ST 27:49 in one capture), and possession percentages. Goal replays have a skip arrow. LEAVE exits the match; we have not confirmed what leaving mid-match does to the result, so do not use it as a fast finish.

Watch which of your five does the work. A card with a high overall but the wrong position contributes less than a lower card in the right slot, which is the whole argument for reading the five stats on the card page before the next purchase.

Decide your first purchase

Two routes buy you a player.

Route What you pay What you get When it makes sense
Community market A known price for a known card That exact card You have an empty or weak position and know which one
Packs A price for a random card Something from a rarity pool You have no urgent gap and can absorb a bad pull

In one recorded session, rare cards on the community market were listed at $8,000 to $10,000 (checked 29 Oct 2026). That is the number to compare against a pack: if a pack costs more than a fitting rare card and you need that position now, the listing is the better buy. The trading guide walks through the resale maths, including the 30% tax you pay when you sell.

The group reward will not claim

Work through these in order: confirm you joined the group, confirm the like registered on the game page, then reopen the game so the panel refreshes. If it still refuses, the invite condition may be the missing piece — nothing in the panel indicates which condition failed.

What this page does not answer

Pack prices and odds are not published anywhere we could verify, so this page will not tell you a pack is "worth it". The training screen's cost, duration and effect are also unrecorded; the training guide says what to check on your own screen instead.
