The Black Marketer and ICON offers

Checked

The Black Marketer is a separate seller from the community market. It advertises ICON signings, it shows a scouting offer instead of a listing board, and the 30% community tax notice has not been seen on its screen. Treat it as its own shop with its own rules — most of which we could not confirm.

What is confirmed

The official Roblox description puts it plainly: catch the secret Black Market to sign legendary ICON players.

A recorded session captured the seller itself: a character standing on the pitch next to a red kiosk structure, labelled BLACK MARKETER. The same session opened a SCOUTING OFFER panel with a candidate card, a COUNTER OFFER control, and a SCOUT FOR 26,600 button — the price shown in that session, not a fixed price.

ICON cards also appear on the community market at the top of the price range, rated 90 to 97 in a captured listing screen. So ICON cards exist in two places: from the Black Marketer, and resold by players.

What is not confirmed

Everything below would change how you use the feature, and none of it is in our material:

  • Where the Black Marketer appears, and how often.
  • Whether it appears on a timer, after a certain number of matches, or at random.
  • What currency the scouting offer takes, and whether coins are involved at all.
  • What COUNTER OFFER does — counter-bid, reroll, or decline.
  • Whether a scouted player joins immediately or is delivered after a delay.
  • Whether the 30% market tax applies to anything bought here.
  • Whether the offer pool is fixed or rotates between sessions.

This page will not invent a spawn timer. If you find the Black Marketer, the useful thing you can do is note the clock time, the offer price and the card's overall — that is the data this page is missing.

How to judge an offer

Judge the card, not the discount.

  1. Does the card fill a slot you have? An ICON striker does nothing for a squad whose goalkeeper slot is empty.
  2. Compare the offer with the community price for the same card. ICON cards are resold on the community market, so that is your reference even if the currencies differ.
  3. Read the price on the panel, not the one in a video. 26,600 was the figure in one session; it is not a rate.
  4. Check what you give up. If the price is coins, that is coins not spent on the position you were already saving for.

If the offer uses a currency you have not seen before — there is a second icon next to the coin balance in the interface, and its name and source are not documented in our material — stop and check the panel wording before you commit. Guessing here is expensive.

Worked example: a 90-rated ICON offer

A scouting offer shows a 90 overall ICON forward for 26,600.

  1. Check your slots: if your forward slot already holds an 80-rated card and your goalkeeper slot is a 62, this offer improves the wrong position.
  2. Check the community price for the same card before you accept; ICON listings were the most expensive row on the market in our capture.
  3. If you accept, write down the price and the clock time. That record is what turns this page from guesses into a rule next month.

Where the rest of your coins should go

For everyday buying, the community market is the known route: you see the card, the rarity, the seller and the price, and the 30% tax is printed on the screen. The card page explains what the stats on an ICON listing actually mean, which matters more than the badge.
